What Is Inner Child Healing and How Can It Change Your Life?

Inner child healing helps you understand your patterns and emotions so you can create real, lasting change from within.

If you have found yourself repeating the same patterns, feeling triggered by certain situations, or reacting in ways you don’t fully understand, it’s not random. These experiences are often rooted in earlier parts of your life that are still shaping how you feel, think, and respond today.

Inner child healing is the process of understanding and reconnecting with those earlier parts of yourself. The parts of you that may not have felt fully seen, supported, or safe at different stages of your life. When these experiences are not processed, they don’t disappear, they continue to influence your emotions, your reactions, and the patterns you find yourself in.

This is why you may notice yourself overthinking, feeling overwhelmed, struggling in relationships, or reacting more strongly than you would like. It’s not about something being wrong with you, it’s about something within you asking to be understood.

When you begin inner child healing, you start to bring awareness to what is actually happening beneath the surface. You begin to understand where your emotional responses are coming from and why certain patterns keep repeating. From this place, you are no longer stuck in them, you are able to move through them with more clarity and choice.

Through breathwork and inner child healing, you are able to access this work on a deeper level, not just through the mind but through the body. This allows you to process and release what has been held, creating space for a different experience within yourself.

As this begins to shift, you may notice feeling calmer, more grounded, and more connected. You begin to respond to life differently, with more awareness and less reactivity. The things that once felt confusing start to make sense, and you move forward with a greater sense of clarity, ease, and self-trust.

This work supports you in understanding yourself at a deeper level and creating change that feels real, not forced, but something that comes from within.

If you are ready to begin understanding what is really happening in your life, this is where the work starts. 🤍

If this resonates with you, this is exactly the work I support you with.

Why Do I Overthink Everything? Understanding the Root Cause of Constant Overthinking.

Overthinking is often a deeper response, not just a habit. Learn what’s really going on and how to begin understanding it.

I used to overthink everything. Every conversation, every decision, every small shift in someone’s energy. My mind was always trying to figure something out, trying to get ahead, trying to make sure everything was okay. Even when things were fine on the outside, it didn’t feel that way within me. There was always something running in the background, a constant noise I couldn’t switch off.

For a long time, I believed this was just who I was. That I was someone who thought too much, cared too much, or needed to learn how to calm my mind. I tried to control it, distract myself, and think differently, but nothing really changed. If anything, it became more intense.

Over time, I began to see something deeper. Overthinking wasn’t the problem, it was a response. A response to not feeling fully safe within myself. A response to parts of me that hadn’t been fully seen, understood, or supported. My mind was trying to protect me, trying to stay in control and avoid feeling something that once felt too much.

When I began to go beyond the mind and into the body, things started to shift. Through breathwork and inner child healing, I started to understand what was actually sitting underneath it all. Not just the thoughts, but the feelings. Not just the reactions, but where they were coming from. I began to connect with parts of myself that had been holding onto tension and emotion for a long time.

As I allowed myself to feel and gently release what had been held, the overthinking began to soften. There was more space in my mind, more calm in my body, and more clarity in how I moved through my life. I no longer felt stuck trying to figure everything out.

This is the work I now support others through. Because overthinking isn’t something you need to fight or fix, it’s something to understand. When you begin to understand what is really happening within you, everything starts to shift. You feel more grounded, more present, and more connected to yourself, and from that place, life becomes easier to move through.

If you feel like you are constantly in your head, overthinking and unsure how to switch it off, this is where the work begins.

If this resonates with you, this is exactly the work I support you with.

What Is Breathwork and How Does It Help Your Nervous System?

A simple explanation of breathwork and how it helps regulate your nervous system, reduce stress, and support emotional wellbeing.

Breathwork is an ancient practice that has been used for centuries to support the body, the mind, and our emotional wellbeing, and for me it’s one of the most powerful ways to come back into yourself.

At its core, it’s simply becoming aware of your breath, but when you start to do that, you realise how deeply connected your breath is to how you feel. Most of us move through life breathing unconsciously, and when we’re stressed, overwhelmed, or anxious, our breath naturally becomes shallow without us even noticing. Over time, this keeps the body in a constant state of stress.

This is where breathwork becomes so powerful, because through guided breathing you can begin to shift your nervous system out of that stress response and into a more calm and regulated state, which is where the body starts to feel safe again.

But it’s not just about relaxation. What I see time and time again is that breathwork brings awareness to what’s been sitting underneath, whether that’s unprocessed emotions, tension held in the body, or patterns you’ve been repeating without fully understanding why.

This is why I often combine breathwork with inner child work, because so much of what we experience now, especially in our relationships, comes from earlier experiences, and when you begin to breathe into the body and bring awareness to those parts of yourself, things start to shift in a really natural way.

You feel calmer, more connected, less reactive, and more secure within yourself, and from that place your relationships begin to change too, because you’re no longer responding from the same patterns.

Breathwork is about creating space for your body to release, process, and come back into balance in its own way, and when your nervous system feels safe, everything else starts to follow.

Why Do I Feel Anxious in Relationships?

Why Do I Feel Anxious In Relationships? | ÁNALÚ

If you’ve ever found yourself asking why you feel so anxious in relationships, you’re not alone, and it’s something I see and hear so often. You might notice yourself overthinking, needing reassurance, feeling unsure where you stand, or becoming very aware of the other person’s behaviour, even when everything seems fine on the surface.

What’s important to understand is that this isn’t random, and it doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you. What’s actually happening is that your nervous system is responding based on what it has learned feels safe, often shaped by earlier experiences where there may have been inconsistency, lack of emotional support, or a feeling of not being fully secure.

So when you enter into a relationship, your system naturally starts scanning for safety, and this can show up as overthinking, needing reassurance, feeling unsettled when there’s distance, or even trying to stay in control so you don’t get hurt. While it can feel overwhelming, it’s actually your body trying to protect you in the only way it knows how.

The challenge is that these patterns, which may have once kept you safe, can start to create distance in your relationships, making it harder to fully relax, trust, and open up to real connection.

This is where the work becomes so important. Through breathwork and inner child work, you can begin to understand where these responses come from, how they live in your body, and why they continue to show up, and from that awareness, things begin to shift naturally.

You start to feel more grounded, more settled within yourself, and more secure in how you show up in relationships, and instead of relying on someone else to make you feel safe, that sense of safety begins to come from within you. From that place, you can experience relationships in a completely different way, one that feels calmer, more connected, and more aligned with who you truly are.

If this resonates with you, this is exactly the work I support you with.
